| The battle between
LT and Curly Top was considered a classic that stop everyone
in their tracks just to watch. LT prevailed 15-13 |
It
was a festive atmosphere at the Gametime Madden 2002 Tournament,
hosted by Simulation Sports Network,
with two Louisiana boys taking home all the hardware and the dough.
The field was a Who's Who of Madden ballers, including names like
Curly
Top , Cocky
Lou, Dicky,
Bote,
Ruckus,
Tuf
Tim, North Philly's Ream
and Jamir,
Will Turner and Lou
Tillery . The list goes on and on.
All
games were played at a fevered pitch and tightly contested with
virtually no blowouts--a tribute to the intense talent present.
Lou Tillery and Will Turner obviously packed their "A" games on
their flight from Louisiana. Lou was especially on top of his game,
literally blitzin' and Keyshawnin' his way to the hardware. He was
in the tough bracket that included Cocky Lou, Jamir and the one
and only Curly Top. That, in combination with all the haters in
the capacity crowd, created a road full of pot holes and speed bumps,
but Warrick Dunn and Brad Johnson navigated him through.
The
two feature matches pited Lou versus Curly Top's Vikings and Cocky
Lou's Rams. Both games were great epic battles, well worth the price
of admission alone, with a lot of dough on the line--believe that!
Like the true champion he is, Lou Tillery weathered the storms and
advanced 15-13 over Top in a classic black "n" blue division match
up. Then, he unleashed the hounds on Cocky Lou's Rams, sacking him
numerous times and totally shutting down their prolific receivers.
In
both games, Lou shutout his opposition in the second half. Simply
put, the man displayed why he is the most talked about and respected
Baller in the country. The 504 Boys' Will Turner easily won the
constellation tourney with a 42-7 score over Gametime's Beast. After
being knocked out in the first tournament undaunted, he dusted off
and jumped right back into the saddle and easily walked through
the fields to the money. This Hustler will say this about these
two fine Ballers--they brought the heat and earned a measure of
respect in Philly.
