MWS To Establish Madden Players Hall Of Fame

May 29 -- FT. LAUDERDALE, FL

MWS President The Swammi announced Saturday the establishment of the Professional Madden Players Hall Of Fame. The Hall is established to enshrine those that have made significant contributions to the game of Madden both on the sticks and off the sticks. "When you look at the MWS, there are actual legends in this community," states The Swammi. "When you talk about guys like White, Candyman and Tillery, these guys have become larger than life figures in the community. Their stories have grown into folklore!"

The Hall Of Fame Committee, chaired by 3rd and Long will begin taking nominations for the Hall Of Fame in the first week of June. Nominations will be accepted from anyone in the community as long as the nominees meet the criteria spelled out by the Hall. Once the nominations are in, the committee members will vote on who shall be enshrined. The inaugural Hall Of Fame Banquet is set for Friday night July 15 at the Intercontinental Hotel.

Incorporated into the Hall Of Fame Banquet will also be the first annual Maddy's. The Maddy's will recognize outstanding players in the area of offense, defense, stick control, coaching, as well as player of the year and rookie of the year. These awards will be voted on by community members and awards will be presented at the Hall Of Fame Banquet prior to the enshrinement of the Hall Of Fame class.
