Madden Games Lives Up To The Hype! (1:30 pm est)

Jay Adams, The Creator, and Nunez scout the action.(AP)

Some of the best players in the nation are walking the walk after talking the talk. After two months of hype and trash talk, the games have begun. What makes this even special, is that every one here has good game. But some of the players have already separated themselves from the others. The BFL, after proclaiming their greatness have established themselves as the league to top. Winky White destroyed TAFKAC in the round robin 41-6. Fruitman of the BFL has also been victorious with wins of Terry Whigham and Kevin Fox. Fox is the first to be eliminated from advancing to the tournament round after loosing to Fruitman and Terry Whigham. The Creator and Kwan Drake have represented the PFL well thus far with wins over BFL member D. Rob and non league participant 3rd & Long. The Swammi, tournament organizer, lost in his round game 17-0 to Firm $F$ member Ade. So the action is hot and the camaraderie is the best thing about the weekend. Its Madden A Holics heaven with so many guys with a high passion for the game getting together having fun! If you ain't here...you are missing it! -- The Swammi

Red Rza of the Firm $F$ and D. Rob of the BFL just played the first overtime game of the tournament. It ended in a 38-35 thriller as D. Rob took the win in overtime.

We will give you an updated report later in the evening

Surprises In The Round Robin! (6:40 pm est)

Last minute entry Lonnie Hill of the BFL advanced to the single elimination tournament with a last second victory of Eric B. AP)

The relatively obscure BFL of Atlanta has made a name for themselves this tournament. Lead by Winky White and Vince the Fruitman, this league is deep with talented players. Winky literally ripped through the round robin destroying all of his opponents by a score of 118-30. It wasn't until the first round of the single elimination rounds that Winky faced his first test, vs. PFL member, Joe Hilton, as White held on to win 21-17. D. Rob, Lonnie Hill, Coop, Ron Wilborn, Eddie Parker and the Fruitman were all impressive in their opening round wins. PFL power house, The Creator didn't disappoint either, with wins over D. Rob of the BFL and Bulldog of New Orleans. However, Firm $F$ representative Red Rza, dropped The Creator for his only loss 20-18. Unfortunately for the The Firm, Red Rza, nor All Star made the tournament rounds. Fellow Firm member Action Jackson did make into the tournament with a win over The Swammi, and a forfeit win credited over The Gamer, who did not show.

PFL Sleepers Represent

Although top PFL players Fox, and The Swammi were eliminated early, Teddy Brown, Joe Hilton, Brian Cook, and The Creator did manage to keep the league name respectable. However it is clear that the BFL is the dominant league in the tournament with each of their 7 members advancing to the tournament round.

Terry "The Terminator" Whigham Advances To Quarter Finals

The Terminator, terminated D. Robs existence in the Madden Games tournament with a 42-38. "Hattiesburg is representin'," proclaimed Whigham after defeating D. Rob. Robertson was the first of the BFL ballers to fall from the ranks. -- updated 6:40 pm est. Sept 4
